Here we are into week two of first grade. It's going to be a long semester. Silas was ready to go with no problems on day one. By the end of the week, he was literally being carried out of the house. I feel bad for him. He says he likes his teacher and he gets to spend time with his buddies on the playground. He's not a morning person - never has been - so he may always be a difficult child to get out of the door in the morning.
Poor Aidan. I swear that child is accident prone. He's always tripping over his feet, bumping his head or getting wounded when all three of them wrestle. Last Friday Aidan decided to flip out of a shopping cart in the parking lot of Target. I'm not really sure what happened because I was putting Savannah in the van. John said he flipped out of the cart because he was standing up (after repeatedly being told to sit). I freaked out (as usual) and was worried about his spine so I took him to the ER where I was treated like I was an idiot. By the way, they won't do an xray or CT scan on them for falls like that. Anyway, Aidan's fine. He has a bruise but is jumping around like normal.
Here's Aidan being cute (not sure why he's wearing gloves and the hat).

Savannah is still being Savannah. Bossy, stubborn and such a DIVA! Here's my little Princess Diva striking a pose in all her cuteness.

My good deed for the year: Like I don't have enough to take care of already, but now I have a mommy cat and her 5 babies to add to the mix. I found animal control in our neighborhood digging the family out of the storm drain. They were going to take them and put them down so I stepped in. They are living in our upstairs bathroom for now. The kittens are healthy and the mom looks healthier too. We've had them a couple of weeks now. They are walking around and climbing out of their box. They are absolutely adorable. Now I need to look for homes for them. So if anyone would like a blonde kitty, let me know! They'll need homes in a few more weeks. Hopefully I can post a picture some time this week.
